Ingredients and spices that need to be Take to make Cabbage Gosht:

  1. 1 medium sized shredded Cabbage
  2. 400 gm Lamb Bone-in
  3. 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  4. 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  5. 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  6. 5-6 slit Green Chillies
  7. 1/2 tsp Red Chilli powder (optional)
  8. 1 tsp Coriander powder
  9. 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  10. 1 small bunch chopped Coriander Leaves
  11. 2-3 tbsp Oil
  12. 2-3 chopped Onions

Instructions to make Cabbage Gosht

  1. Heat Oil in a pressure cooker. Saute Ginger and garlic paste along with finely chopped Onions. Also add slit Green Chillies as well.
  2. Now throw in all the powdered spices or masalas. After almost about 3-4 minutes, add in the Mutton or the Lamb Bone-in. Saute it on a high heat for 4 to 5 minutes. Pressure cook for 6-7 whistles or more as needed with water as required. Do not add more as meat will also leave a lot of water whilst cooking. Open the lid only after the steam settles down on it's own.
  3. Now add shredded Cabbage to it. Mix well and let it simmer on a medium high heat. In between, keep checking while stirring. As cabbage releases a lot of water, do not add extra to it. Let it cook on a low to medium high heat stirring it as and when possible.
  4. Garnish with chopped Coriander Leaves and adjust Salt. Serve hot. Yum!
